Community Activities – Islamic Society of Clemson
At the Islamic Society of Clemson (ISC), we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for Muslims and anyone interested in learning more about Islam. Our regular activities blend spirituality, community bonding, and good food.
Weekly Saturday BBQ & Talk
Join us every Saturday for our weekly BBQ dinner. The grill starts just after Asr prayer, and food is served right after Maghrib prayer. Enjoy a relaxed outdoor meal followed by a short, uplifting talk by our Imam. It’s a great way to end the week and connect with fellow community members — students, families, and guests are all welcome.
Monthly Potluck Dinner – First Saturday
On the first Saturday of each month, we replace the BBQ with a community potluck dinner. Members bring a dish from home to share with others. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a variety of home-cooked meals, celebrate our diverse backgrounds, and spend quality time together as a community.
Special Activities During Ramadan
The holy month of Ramadan is a vibrant time at ISC:
-
Daily Iftar Dinners – Throughout Ramadan, we host a community iftar every evening. Break your fast with dates, water, and a warm meal in the company of fellow Muslims.
-
Eid Picnic – At the end of Ramadan, we gather for a joyful Eid picnic. Enjoy halal food, outdoor games, and family-friendly activities as we celebrate Eid al-Fitr together.
Everyone Is Welcome
Whether you are a Clemson student, a local family, or new to the area, you are always welcome at our events. No registration is required for weekly activities — just come with an open heart.
